Fast & Interactive Payment Flow
We have revamped our payment flow to be way more interactive for consumers that use Andpay to pay with Algo (or other ASA’s).
Algorand has currently a block finalisation time of 4.5sec before a transaction is fully complete. 4.5 seconds is generally fast compared to other blockchains or even certain older fiat based systems. However, from a consumer perspective it takes a while and you want to have this as seamless as possible. Andpay solves this with a great new interface.
Introducing our payment loader
Our payment loader triggers the moment a customer has finalised the payment with the wallet of their choice. During that time the customers will now see an interactive loader that will animate to a checkmark as soon as the transaction has been finalised.
Providing these type of feedback towards the customer will minimise the feeling of having to wait too long. Plus they’ll understand that something is ‘going on’ and they have to wait a bit.
4.5 sec to 2.5 sec block finalisation
The Algorand foundation announced earlier in the year that they’re currently working on reducing the block finalisation from 4.5 seconds to 2.5 seconds. Our payment flow will then be even faster, once that new upgrade is deployed on the Algorand MainNet.
This should automatically put the Algorand blockchain as one of the fastest payment infrastructures available. One of the core reasons why we, Andpay, decided to fully focus on the Algorand blockchain (and no other blockchain).
